What’s the story behind the name Baciami?
Baciami translates to kiss me in Italian, which felt like the perfect name for this collection. It’s a soft farewell to summer, designed in that fleeting space between seasons where you’re caught between them. It’s playful, romantic, and a little nostalgic, everything we want our girl to feel when she wears With Jéan.
How does this collection differ from past collections?
This collection leans into versatility more than ever. We created pieces that can shift with you, styled for warm afternoons on the coast or layered into autumn evenings. Past drops have often been firmly rooted in one season, but Baciami blurs the line between spring and fall, giving you those transitional staples that don’t have to wait in your wardrobe.
Is there a particular mood or feeling you wanted the collection to evoke?
A mix of longing and lightness. It’s about that bittersweet kiss goodbye to summer, but also the excitement of change. The mood is very cinematic Italian coastline, sun-drenched but with an undertone of romance that carries you into the next chapter.
Were there any behind-the-scenes moments that shaped the final imagery?
There were so many behind the scenes moments that shaped the final imagery. We leaned heavily on the energy of the locals in storefronts, mopeds, and friendly chats with people who were more than happy to be photographed. Their openness and warmth added a layer of authenticity and made the visuals feel super Italiano, bringing a lived in, genuine charm to the campaign.
